Operators respond to demand for detail with dedicated brochures
Several tour operators have launched family brochures to demand for more details of facilities for children.
Luxury operator the Mediterranean Experience has also introduced a dedicated family brochure. The 20 page Kids in the Med brochure includes information on local facilities, transfer distances, opening times for kids' clubs and meal options.
Marketing executive Louise Deakin said the response has been so good, the company has placed the brochure online between reprints.
"We're taking advantage of the current reprint to add more hotels, particularly those suited to families with children of nursery age," she said. "This is where the demand seems to be."
The operator is promoting the Almyra Hotel in Paphos, Cyprus, which operates a 'baby go lightly' programme providing equipment that parents can leave at home.
Prices for one adult start at £1,414 for seven nights in May, including flights, transfers, breakfast and a baby package that includes a nappy-changing mat, bottle warmer, potty and story books. Extra kit can be ordered prior to travel.
