From a prehistoric dwelling to a wayfarers rest site to the grand manor of an exiled Russian prince, the Caesar Augustus has a long and illustrious history. Prince Bullak commissioned a life-size statue of Caesar Augustus which stands in the hotel grounds to this day. After the Second World War, the villa became an elegant and luxurious hotel and since that time has maintained its popularity with Hollywood stars and royalty alike.
